Kutilmaganda, ular King Kong haqiqiy mavjudot ekanligini bilib olishadi, u tarixdan oldingi mavjudotlar millionlab yillar davomida saqlanib qolgan va yashiringan ulkan o'rmonda yashaydi. Ammo 25 futlik maymunni qidirishda tadqiqotchilar nafaqat King Kongga, balki uning dinozavr dushmanlariga ham duch kelishadi. 1930 год. Группа исследователей отправилась на таинственный Остров Черепа, чтобы изучить легенды о гигантской горилле, прозванной Конг. Неожиданно они обнаруживают, что Король Конг - реальное существо, живущее в массивных джунглях, где сохранились и в течение миллионов лет были скрыты доисторические существа. Но в поисках 25-футовой обезьяны, исследователи сталкиваются не только с Кинг Конгом, но и его врагами - динозаврами. Только участие красивой женщины помогает экспедиции утихомирить уникальную гориллу и привезти её в Нью-Йорк. Но вряд ли Кинг Конгу понравятся клетка и кандалы.
